Find government contracts worth pursuing, before spending hours on each one.
FedPath is a Yippify GovCon platform that helps small businesses navigate government contracting more efficiently: from checking whether they are ready, to finding SAM.gov opportunities, to deciding what to pursue and organizing what a solicitation requires.
FedPath government contracting software for small businesses brings opportunity discovery, fit analysis, Go/No-Go decisions, and compliance tracking into one workflow, so a small team spends less time searching and more time on the opportunities that deserve it.

01Problem
Finding a contract is only the beginning.
Federal agencies post the contracts they compete on SAM.gov, but most of the work happens before a business even decides to bid: reading long notices, comparing requirements with what the company can do, and deciding whether an opportunity is worth the effort.
Large contractors have capture managers, proposal managers, and compliance specialists for this. In a small business, the owner, the technical lead, the salesperson, and the proposal writer are often the same few people.
Without FedPath
- Search SAM.gov
- Open opportunities one by one
- Read long descriptions
- Compare the requirements
- Check them against what the company can do
- Work out whether it’s worth pursuing
- Read the solicitation
- Build a requirements spreadsheet
- Track everything by hand
All of it by hand, often by the same one or two people.
With FedPath
- Opportunity WatchFind opportunities worth reviewing.
- Fit AnalysisUnderstand the matches, gaps, blockers, and unknowns.
- Go / No-GoDecide before investing more time.
- PursueKeep active opportunities organized.
- Compliance MatrixTurn requirements into something the team can work from.
Every hour spent investigating the wrong opportunity is an hour not spent on delivery, on customers, or on a better opportunity.
02Decision support
Better information before the decision, not a decision made for you.
The core of FedPath is the gap between discovering a notice and deciding whether to pursue it. The product compares the notice with the company on the points that decide most bids, then keeps the evidence attached to every step that follows.
Notice → Fit → Decision → Pursuit → Matrix
FedPath carries each opportunity through one model, so work done at one step is not repeated at the next.

An example Fit Analysis
Base Operations Support Services, Navy. Compared with a small janitorial company’s profile. Illustrative sample data.
| Point | The notice asks for | The company profile | Finding |
|---|---|---|---|
| Industry code | 561210 Facilities Support Services | 561720 Janitorial Services only | Gap |
| Set-aside | Open to all businesses | Small business | Match |
| Work described | Custodial, grounds, and facility maintenance | Custodial and floor care | Gap |
| Special requirements | Facility security clearance | No facility clearance | Blocker |
| Past performance | Base operations of similar size | Not on the profile yet | Unknown |
| Time left | 41 days to respond | Enough time to prepare | Match |
Then the Go/No-Go. The team rates each factor Strong, Acceptable, Concern, or Unknown, and pursues only when the concerns are ones it can solve. Here, the clearance is a blocker the company can’t fix in 41 days, so the recorded decision is No-Go, and the time goes to a better opportunity.

FedPath: a GovCon platform built for teams without a capture department.
FedPath helps with the repetitive work so the team can focus on the questions only it can answer: should we pursue this, can we deliver it, and what are we missing?

New SAM.gov notices matched to a company profile. Sample data.
GovCon Readiness
A five-minute check for companies new to federal contracting: how complete the business profile is, where the SAM.gov registration stands, which of the six SBA programs may be worth exploring, and what to do next, with the reason for every result.
SAM.gov opportunity discovery
Search every open SAM.gov notice in plain words, filtered by industry code, set-aside, and location. No account is needed to browse, and each notice links back to its official SAM.gov page.
Opportunity Watch and matching
Instead of running the same searches every week, a saved watch checks SAM.gov every few hours and lists new matches with the reason each one matched.
Fit Analysis
Compares a notice with the company profile on six points in seconds, and shows where every finding came from so the team can check it.
Go/No-Go decisions
Starts from the Fit Analysis, rates fit, competition, delivery, timing, and cost, and records the team’s decision and the reasons for it.
Pursuit workflow
Moves an opportunity into Pursuing and keeps its deadlines, tasks, decisions, and documents together, so nothing depends on one person’s inbox.
Compliance Matrix
Upload the solicitation, review the requirements found on each page, and track each one with an owner, a status, and where the proposal answers it.
04Engineering
Product engineering choices that keep people in charge.
FedPath shows how Yippify approaches a workflow-heavy product: map the work people do by hand, model the domain carefully, and automate the repetitive parts without hiding the reasoning behind a score.
- Evidence, not verdicts
- Every finding shows where it came from, so a small team can check the reasoning instead of trusting a score.
- Unknown is not a no
- Missing company information shows as “we don’t know yet”, never as a reason an opportunity doesn’t fit.
- People make the call
- The Go/No-Go assessment organizes the evidence and records the decision. The software never makes it.
- Public data, kept current
- SAM.gov notices are copied every few hours and normalized for search and matching, with a link to the official version.
- Private by default
- Browsing and a quick fit check need no account and run in the browser. Account records are limited to the account’s members, and uploads stay in private storage.
- Predictable document reading
- Solicitations are read by fixed rules on the server to find candidate requirements, not sent to an outside AI model.
- Learning in context
- NAICS codes, set-asides, Sources Sought, RFQs, and RFPs are explained where people meet them, while they work with real opportunities.
Government contracting shouldn’t take the whole week.
FedPath doesn’t just help small businesses find contracts. It reduces the work between finding an opportunity and deciding what to do with it. The same thinking applies to any team buried in a process that software could organize.
05Questions
Questions about FedPath
Guides on finding, evaluating, and bidding on federal contracts are on GoFedPath.com.
What is FedPath?
FedPath is an opportunity evaluation and pursuit platform for small businesses pursuing U.S. federal contracts. It brings GovCon Readiness, SAM.gov opportunity search, Opportunity Watch, Fit Analysis, Go/No-Go decisions, pursuit tracking, and a Compliance Matrix into one workflow.
Who is FedPath for?
Small businesses and small teams bidding on federal contracts, including companies new to government contracting and those without a dedicated capture or proposal team, where the owner, the technical lead, and the proposal writer are often the same few people.
How does FedPath decide whether an opportunity is a good fit?
Fit Analysis compares a SAM.gov notice with a company profile on six points: industry (NAICS) code, set-aside, the work described, special requirements such as clearances or bonding, past performance, and time left. Each finding is sorted into a match, gap, blocker, or unknown, and shows where it came from so it can be checked.
Does FedPath make the bid/no-bid decision?
No. The Go/No-Go assessment starts from the Fit Analysis and puts the evidence in one place, but the business rates each factor and records the decision. The software never makes it for them.
What is a compliance matrix?
A table of every requirement in a solicitation, with where it came from, who owns it, its status, and where the proposal answers it. FedPath reads an uploaded solicitation with fixed rules, lists the candidate requirements for review, and tracks each one with an owner and a status.
Is FedPath affiliated with SAM.gov or the government?
No. FedPath is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or part of the U.S. government, SBA, SAM.gov, or any federal agency. Opportunity data comes from SAM.gov’s public data, and every notice links back to its official SAM.gov page.
Who builds FedPath?
Yippify designs, builds, and runs FedPath as its own product. It shows how we approach a workflow-heavy product: map the work people do by hand, model the domain carefully, and keep people in charge of the decisions that matter.
